What: The 11th Annual Painting From The Heart Children and Celebrity Art Show. 

 

Where: One of Life's Perks Coffee House 18343 US Highway 18 - Apple Valley, CA 92307.

Time: 1pm – 6pm

For the past ten years The Goodwill V.I.N.T.A Youth Ambassadors has hosted a Traveling Art Show around Southern California. Artwork done by disabled and non-disabled young artists that showcased along side, original works of art by some amazing California artists and celebrities.

 

This is not just an art show but an ART-FEST a day of art, music and dance. This year show attendee will be invited to be a part of a live art project that is going to be fun, entertaining and inspiring.

 

The goal of our Traveling Art Show is to use the ARTS to educate, to reach out, and to empower.

This year artwork done by disabled, non-disabled Students from; Adelanto, Apple Valley, Encino, Helendale, Hesperia, Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino, Temecula, Victorville and Wrightwood. Professional and Emerging California Artists; Boo of Hesperia - Henry Hernandez of Hesperia, Julie Jones of Apple Valley - Frances Marie King of Santa Moncia - Jessica King of Encino -Mickey Griffith of Victorville - Steve Valencia of Hesperia and Art from the collection of Dalushaka Mugwana of Chicago IL. / Helendale CA.

Choreographer P-Cass and Jazz Funk - Dancer Aaron Boatright - Angela Madrid, Pom Pom Squad, Jenitha Janisse loves to dance and is the owner and operator of The Biz Dance Studio in Apple Valley Ca.

and she is only 17 year of age.

An original member of the world famous 70’s “The Lockers” still got the moves.

 

The introduction of the cast of Chavonie and Friends (Internet TV Show 2013) Five hostesses ranging in ages of 14 to 30 that will be traveling around Southern California in a tricked-out mini bus checking out local attractions and landmarks, they will also be interviewing celebrities, athletes and talented disabled and non-disabled Southern Californians who are doing amazing things.

Inland Empire Live (Riverside Ca.) - Wallace Edward Stover owner/producer of a live internet television called Inland Empire Live will be video taping the art show with the help of Dane Stover age 15 Show Engineer and Richard Watkins age14 Camera Technician the art show can be viewed on Ustream.tv. YouTube.

This year’s some of the artists will paint and bedazzle mannequin parts. After the art show the mannequin parts will be sold to fund two summer projects;

2002 – 2011 The Angel in My Pocket Project - (Random Act of Kindness)

This is a project we started back in 2002 to promote hope and love around the world. The Goodwill V.I.N.T.A Ambassadors sent and distributed Guardian Angel Medallions and Angel Cards that were been blessed, to individuals around the world from all walks of life.

 

They have sent out Angel Medallions to Soldiers servicing state side, overseas. Soldiers recovering at Walter Reed Army Hospitals in Washington DC, the Soldiers of the 1st. BN 185th Armor 40th INF Division in Apple Valley CA. and soldiers at Bob Hope Hollywood USO at LAX. To carry in their pocket to remind them that someone cares. (2) Summer Musical Workshop The second project is the making of three homemade musical instruments a Wood Slit Drum, Didgeridoo and a giant metallophones.

Past celebrity art show participants; Mr. Cosby did a simple watercolor painting of a tree. Ms. Debbie Matenopoulous of E, did a flower and butterfly painting. Mr. James Earl Jones, did a doodle. Rose O’Donnell, did a drawing of three little kids. Melissa Joan Hart, did a abstract water colored painting in 2005 and again in 2010 Melissa Joan Hart did a abstract painting with the help of her kids. Dick Clark, did a simple lightning bolt drawing. Yoko Ono provided us with pictures of her and John and Dom Deluise did a drawing of a clown.

 

Every year the Youth Ambassadors select the celebrities that we contact every year to be a part of the art show. They vote on the theme, invitations, venue, refreshment to be served and the music that will be played the day of the art show.
